Hi, Guten Tag.... my name is Iris.
I come from Germany and I have been teaching German to people of all ages and all walks of life in Germany, Japan and New Zealand.I have a Masters Degree in German Language and Literature from The Heinrich Heine University of Duesseldorf, Germany and a Diploma in Information Studies.
I have been teaching German for more than fifteen years both privately and for language schools. My hometown is Duesseldorf, a city with a large Japanese community. I had a wide range of Japanese clients as well as clients of other nationalities. Many of them were managers and company representatives.
In Japan I worked fulltime for Nova, one of the largest language tuition companys in their Osaka head office . I also worked for smaller language schools and engaged in some private language coaching nearby my home in Kyoto. In Japan a large proportion of my students were classical musicians, eg. singers, conductors and pianists.
In New Zealand I taught German to a wide range of clients including tutoring university students who are studying German, assisting people about to leave for work in German speaking countries and helping people who are just interested in learning a foreign language. I had my own company, German Language Tuition and Translation in Wellington , the capital city of New Zealand.
Now I am teaching German via the internet/web conferencing/Skype because I am really convinced that it is an excellent way to learn foreign languages and will surely be the way of the future. So far, my students and I have found the lessons enjoyable, helpful and effective.
